China Granite Project II by Max Lamb

Max Lamb’s China Granite Project II is a furniture series made from what's called a sesame black granite sourced in Fujian, Xiamen. The project extends his study of local quarrying and stone industries, working with regional stonemason to turn irregular quarry-waste boulders into functional furniture. I assisted throughout the process, our notes and photographs were compiled into this photo journal.
